Senior Network Security Consultant

Acadia Technology Group is building a team of experienced, senior networking and network security professionals in the New York metropolitan area. Together, we're building an organization providing business solutions centered on highly available, secure and manageable unified voice, data and video networks. We use industry best practices and standards compliant network and security design to help customers with large multi-site deployments.

You will lead in security related engagements in the New York metropolitan area. As a lead Security resource, you will be relied upon for guidance in all aspects of security including:

Security Assessment
ITIL Security Business and Best Practice Compliance
Vulnerability Testing
Standards & Audit Compliance (PCI, Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, FISMA)
System Hardening
Secure Network Design
Security Device Design & Deployment (Firewalls (Cisco Juniper-Netscreen), IPS, Security Monitoring Solutions, etc.)

We're looking for people who work well in a small, autonomous team and have superior organizational and presentation skills. You should be comfortable assessing 3rd party networks and security policies, performing vulnerability assessments, security reviews and implementing recommended changes.

Can develop a "trusted advisor" relationship with clients
Enjoy a variety of projects within your work week
Have your eyes open for additional opportunities
Communicate well in writing
Have the focus and passion to follow through with difficult problems
Are tired of being considered a "cost center" and want to make a direct contribution to an organization's bottom line
Have a deep understanding and passion about how networks function
Have experience in a wide range of systems environments (Windows, Unix, etc.).
Would prefer to work in an environment where solutions are driven by customer needs, rather than brand loyalty
Are willing to learn other technologies and how to secure them
Desire an environment where you're continually learning and growing your skills
CISSP Certification is desirable
